Insite of Digital Ballast

Like fluorescent lamps, HID lamps require a ballast to start and maintain their arcs. The method used to initially strike the arc varies: mercury vapor lamps and some metal halide lamps are usually started using a third electrode near one of the main electrodes while other lamp styles are usually started using pulses of high voltage.Currently, the HID xenon car light ballast that used to ignite the HID xenon light could reach a voltage as high as 23KV when starting, which is very much dangerous to  human. But is is an indispensible and the most important part of the lighting system.

Consequently, the performance and efficacy of the ballast should, for the most important part, have significant determination on the performance of the entire car lighting system.

With the updated technology nowadays, the HID car light is able to have longer life span due to the innovative design of the ballast, that is the outcoming of digital ballast and slim ballast.
